Since 1997 Bernstrup has carried out performances in cities around the world, Stockholm, New York, Mexico City, Chicago, Basel, Berlin, Venice, and others. Through his activities he explores the notions of solitude, artificiality and identity (and its loss). The artist uses costumes and make-up in order to slip into various hybrid, androgynous characters from the world of video games, pop music, etc.
